The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is an international organization drawing together a worldwide membership of organisational stakeholders, committed to standardising sustainability reporting by providing a framework of guidelines on the content of best practice sustainability reports.

Its Guidelines provide the world’s most prevalent standards for sustainability reporting and allow every participant company’s financial and non-financial performance and disclosure to be measured and monitored.

Wits Gold adopted the GRI G3 Guidelines in 2011, and declared compliance with application Level C of the reporting guidelines. It is the Company’s intention to incrementally improve its reporting standards to levels of international best practice as it grows.
