Wits Gold is currently working in three other areas of the Southern Free State goldfield, where there is significant potential to exploit synergies with existing operations and projects.

The shallow Robijn Project is the third gold project in the area, and it lies immediately to the east of DBM and Bloemhoek. It contains estimated Indicated Resources of 13.6Mt at 5.8g/t (2.54Moz), together with Inferred Resources of 9.0Mt at 5.7g/t (1.65Moz), held within a thin but widespread layer of the Beatrix Reef, underlain by channels containing Kalkoenkrans Reef. The reefs are preserved within a depth range of 500m to 2 000m below surface.

The Beisa North and Beisa South Prospecting Rights constitute the Company’s current uranium-gold interests and both are strategically positioned adjacent to the dormant Beisa Uranium Mine that now forms part of the Beatrix Mine lease operated by Gold Fields. The principal target in this area is the Beisa Reef, a carbon-rich conglomerate that was previously exploited at Beisa by Gencor for uranium with by-product gold.

At Beisa North, the Company is concentrating on extending the shallower part of the mineralisation, which contains an Inferred Resource of 13.8Mt U3O8 at 0.80kg/t (24.2Mlbs), and 1.72g/t Au (0.76Moz), to a depth of 1 000m below surface.

Beisa South forms the southern extension of the Beatrix Mine lease area and additional exploration is scheduled here during the upcoming year, the results of which will be used to revise the Company’s preliminary in-house resource estimate.
