The Company’s Prospecting Rights in the Klerksdorp goldfield contain an Inferred Resource of 85.1Mt at a grade of 14.5g/t (39.5Moz). These high grade resources represent some of the long term optionality of Wits Gold.

The three exploration projects identified in this goldfield are the Kromdraai, Cyfervlei and Groenfontein projects, of which Kromdraai is the most advanced. The focus in this region to date has been on exploring for the high-grade Vaal Reef, which occurs in a similar geological setting to AngloGold Ashanti’s operating Moab Khotsong Gold Mine, at depths of 3 800m or more.

Wits Gold is currently conducting a regional assessment review of all historic data with a view to prioritising drilling targets and developing an exploration strategy for this region.
